ABOUT
Hello! My name is Allison, and I am a creative storyteller. Whether I am working with photographs, films, videos, poems, art, screenplays, or narratives–be it a true story, fictional story, or a mix of both–I am always excited to bring my vision to life. From a young age, I was passionate about storytelling. I would spend countless hours with my head in a stack of books, joyfully discovering the boundlessness and immeasurability of the imagination. As I grew older, I began to make my own stories. Whether I wrote them down or captured them with my camera, there was something so special about the way these mediums could create a window into another world.
Up until the end of high school, my passion was primarily in creative writing and photography. During that time, I received recognition for my work in both of these areas. It was not until I started college that I decided to combine these two interests and explore filmmaking. Filmmaking has offered me the ability to express stories more complexly than pen or camera alone. In my work, I enjoying focusing on areas such as character development, emotional impact, and human relationships, as well as history, life, and the entity of time.
I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Connecticut in Digital Film/Video Production within the Digital Media & Design major. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to utilize the skills I gained through taking part in various professional endeavors, both within and outside of the university. I hope to pursue a career that allows me to use my creative vision to make stories come to life. I believe that one never stops learning, and I actively strive to improve my skillsets and bring new ideas to the table. Just as it was for me as a young child, my love for imagination and dedication to the craft keeps driving me forward, and I am eager to continue to work hard at pursuing something that brings me such joy.
